The first launch of CHOREOGRAPHY (2021) took place at and was co-produced by Dansens Hus in Oslo, we were joined by contributors Sigrid Øvreås Svendal and Roza Moshtaghi. Additional launches during spring 2022 took place at Multiplie Dance Festival in Trondheim where Harald Beharie, Grace Tabea Tenga and Stina Ravdna Lorås joined us for a conversation focusing on Hanna Järvinen`s text contribution "Decolonize Nordic Dance", and at Sølvberget Library in Stavanger on the occasion that Tou Scene opened a brand new library on performing arts.

The first launch of CHOREOGRAPHY (2018) took place at the festival Oktoberdans in Bergen on 20th of October 2018, here we were joined by contributors Ilse Ghekiere and Marie Bergby Handeland.

 

Additional launches during autumn 2018 was at Dansens Hus in Oslo on 16th of November, and at Kunsthal Charlottenborg as a part of Dansehallerne`s series Choreography in Action on 19th of November. In Oslo we were joined by contributors Ilse Ghekiere, Marie Bergby Handeland, Brynjar Bandlien in addition to artists Sigrid Kopperdal and Mia Habib. In Copenhagen we were joined by contributors Dansehallerne.

 

During spring 2019 CHOREOGRAPHY was launched at the Multipliè Festival in Trondheim on 5th of April, at Weld in Stockholm on 7th of April and at Tou scene in Stavanger on 12th of April. In Trondheim the launch was a part of the talk "Power and Abuse of Power in the Dance Field", led by Solveig Styve Holte with contributors Ilse Ghekiere, Tone Pernille Østern and Venke Sortland. In Stockholm we were joined by contributor Ellen Söderhult and in Stavanger we were joined by, Runa Norheim, artistic leader at RAS,  and Huy Le Vo who is in charge of the performing arts programme at Tou, for a conversation about curatorial strategies.


CHOREOGRAPHY was also a part of a collective launch at rile* in Brussels on 2nd of June, initiated by Engagements Arts and also joined by This Container. We spoke about feminist strategies for self-publication within dance practices.

The first launch of CHOREOGRAPHY (2016) took place at Dansens Hus in Oslo on 21st of May 2016, with a seminar consisting of conversations with the Oslo-based contributors:

“The live event as a performative reality and context” with Per Roar in conversation with Solveig Styve Holte and Ann-Christin Berg Kongsness

“Appropriate Appropriation”: Thomas Talawa Prestø in conversation with Marte Reithaug Sterud

“Text and choreography, dance and poetry” with Janne- Camilla Lyster and Solveig Styve Holte

“Work structures as a critical practice or The art of making space for chaos”

with Venke Marie Sortland and Ann-Christin Berg Kongsness

 

The seminar was organized by the editors in collaboration with Pernille Holden and Ida Gudbrandsen, and co-produced by Dansens Hus.

 

During autumn 2016 there were additional launches happening at:

 

-Ateneum in Helsinki on 9th of September: editor Ann-Christin Berg Kongsness in conversation with local contributors Sonya Lindfors and Simo Kellokumpu, in a double-bill with UrbanApa`s conversation series Discussing structures.

-Weld in Stockholm on 25th of September: editor Ann-Christin Berg Kongsness in conversation with local contributors Stina Nyberg and Evfa Lilja, in a double-bill with the launch of Evfa Lilja`s new book.

-Dansehallerne in Copenhagenn on 29th of September, following the premiere of contributor Naja Lee Jensen`s production Længsel efter hud: editor Ann-Christin Berg Kongsness in conversation with Naja Lee Jensen.

-Oktoberdans-festival in Bergen on 29th of October: editors Solveig Styve Holte and Ann-Christin Berg Kongsness in conversation with contributors Veronica Thorseth and Venke Sortland.

-Dansefestival Barents in Hammerfest on 11th of November: editor Ann-Christin Berg Kongsness in conversation with contributor Elle Sofe Henriksen.
